About this listen

This is a book for working women and mothers who are ready to release the culturally inherited belief that their worth is equal to their productivity, and instead create a personal and professional life that's based on presence, meaning, and joy. As opposed to focusing on "fitting it all in", time management, and leaning in, as so many books geared at ambitious women do, this book embraces the notion that through doing less women can have - and be - more.

The addiction to busyness and the obsession with always trying to do more leads women, especially working mothers, to feel like they're always failing their families, their careers, their spouses, and themselves. This book will give women the permission and tools to change the way they approach their lives and allow them to embrace living in tune with the cyclical nature of the feminine, cutting out the extraneous busyness from their lives so they have more satisfaction and joy, and letting themselves be more often instead of doing all the time. Do Less offers the listener a series of 14 experiments to try to see what would happen if she did less in one specific way. So, rather than approaching doing less as an entire life overhaul (which is overwhelming in and of itself), this book gives the listener bite-sized steps to try incorporating over two weeks!

What an incredible book, I feel seen and heard as a mother and as a woman by Kate and I know that this will be a book that I will come back to time and again for encouragement and guidance throughout motherhood. Thank you Kate, your words at the very end made me cry and I can't wait to try cyclical living from now on!

Beautiful and Life Changing!

Great book explaining a more feminine way of working without giving up on solid strategies. Kate is. Real inspiration and a sister who gets it.

So needed !

I love learning about my body and things that can help my self development. Kate explains the cycle so easily and informatively, I’m sad I didn’t know about this when I was younger

This book is the easy "to do list" that I needed. I will be buying the book so I can scan the pages to really incorporate Do Less mindset :)

Easy to listen to

This book had some helpful strategies for a woman in business. I am not sure whether men would find it as helpful but after tracking and working with nature it has helped release the pressure to push through. I feel this is overall a more productive way to work whilst maintaining my sanity and happiness. I have taken value from this book and implemented it.

Worth a read

I would really like some advice on how to get a refund, absolutely terrible. Apparently, a proper review needs to be more than 15 words, so I reiterate, how do I get a refund for this awful book?

Please save me from this awful book

The concept is good, we all do too much and we somehow know that doing less can mean living more and even perform more... unfortunately most of this book is oriented towards women. Some missconseptions about women doing all the family work and kids organisation thinking seams a bit dated... I guess it's a good thing since most business oriented self help books are targeted towards men...

if you do not have ovaries, this is not for you

I was excited to listen to this book, however it revolves so much around the menstrual cycle I could not go through any more chapters . So disappointed!

I couldn’t go on

I read this book after it was recommended in a podcast but I found this to be quite a boring read mostly about her own story of becoming a mother. Yes you can ‘do less’ but there wasn’t any new information as such so I wouldn’t rate this book.

Wouldn’t rate it
