Summary
Introducing the Time Police, the brand-new series by international best-selling author Jodi Taylor - an irresistible spinoff from the much-loved Chronicles of St Mary's series. Perfect listening for fans of Doctor Who, Ben Aaronovitch and Jasper Fforde.
A long time ago in the future, the secret of time travel became known to all. Everyone seized the opportunity - and the world nearly ended. There will always be idiots who want to change history.
And so, the Time Police were formed. An all-powerful, international organisation tasked with keeping the timeline straight. At all costs.
Their success is legendary, and the Time Wars are over. But now the Time Police must fight to save a very different future - their own.
This is the story of Jane, Luke and Matthew - arguably the worst recruits in Time Police history. Or, very possibly, three young people who might just change everything.

Great start to a new series of books
If you have liked any of the St Marys books you will enjoy this.
The history reference are easy to follow and always explained if you are not a historian. The reader Zara Ramm is excellent. Which I think is of equal importance as the story. Look forward to the next.

what a romp
Absolutely loved it. Like the characters, the tone is funny and the time travel yarns really work. I have read one St Mary book, but it feels like there are too many to deal with ….I like the idea of starting right at the beginning with the time police….and I have alreadybought volume 2

Brilliant!
Excellent new series from Jodi Taylor and the usual superb narration from Zara Ramm. Just as good as the St Mary's books. Perfect if you're after something fairly light and funny but engaging.

Such fun!
if you haven't already read or listened to any of the St Mary's Chronicles then maybe this isn't the first thing you should listen to. If you are familiar with them then dive in.
Full of the wit and pace of their sister series this is a book that takes you by the throat and makes you go along. The leading characters, one of whom we have met before in the afore-mentioned books, all have issues but as they grow into being time police they grow into being themselves. The humour is sometimes subtle but mostly in your face... but even when you can see it coming you smile if not laugh.
There is a line near the end of the book that had me wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes. It's so clichéd you wouldn't think it was possible, but context is everything.
Zara Ramm brings this world to life and is superb.
A highly recommended break from reality.

Brilliant
Brilliant characters, plot, humour and performance. If, like me, you've not previously encountered Jodi Taylor's work I highly recommend the parent series to this one, The Chronicles of St Mary's, about to start listening to book 2 of that series and delighted I have a 4 hours in the car tomorrow for more listening time!

Very Enjoyable and Funny
I really enjoyed this first installment, it amazes me how fresh and fun it felt after listening to all of the St Mary's series, it was nice to see old favourites from a different point of view incorporated in a new story. I had many real laugh out loud moments and I am looking forward to the next book. My only small gripe was Jane, her inner dialogue did get a bit annoying and repetitive but then maybe that was the whole point or her character!
