About this listen

Doom is the feeling when everything seems hopeless and hard, and you want to give up. Bloom, on the other hand, is a state of effortless creativity, where solutions surprise you as they flow into reality. Bloom is our highest and most natural state of being, but how do we reach it when the world feels so dark and heavy? In Doom and Bloom bestselling author and YouTube sensation Campbell Walker (aka Struthless) offers us a roadmap.

Blending modern research with ancient philosophy, Walker's witty sense of humour, searing intelligence and intense vulnerability will make you laugh, cry and pull you from the depths of darkness.

Creativity is like a garden – you have to start from the ground and work your way up. In Doom and Bloom Walker teaches us how getting down in the dirt can lead to a blossoming life.

If you're familiar with Campbell (AKA Struthless)'s YouTube videos, this book follows the similar themes of being well researched, full of funny quips and apt metaphores, and - most importantly - authentic and open advice from someone who genuinely wants to help people based on their experiences. It's a far cry from being another self-help book written by someone who just wanted to write a self-help book.

Campbell - if you happen to be scrolling the comments, you're a beautiful dude. Please keep doing all that you're doing ✌🏼 Catchya

another banger. this is truly inspiring. the whole metaphor is so colourfully beautiful. listened to this while reading the book - Cam’s drawings are worth it. for me, it’s a whole package: inspiring voice and moving drawings.

I have been following cam on YouTube for many years now, his views & advice to better your mental health are always phenomenal, and this book is no exception, the ideology that your head is a garden, and must be looked after like one is something that really resonated with me, and I found so many useful tips. Cam delivers information in a way that’s easy to understand, and actionable steps to implement it into your own life. So sorry to hear about the passing of Tinman.
