I really enjoyed listening to this account of the famous battle from a perspective we rarely hear. There were lots of details to learn about. The author puts the Battle of Britain into good perspective. There is clearly a lot of research gone into this book and it shows in the details and thoroughness of her analysis. The conclusion is apt. The book is well read, too. If you are interested in WWII and especially the air battles over Britain in 1940, this book is fascinating.

an outstanding book, extremely balanced with showing the Luftwaffe as human but never forgetting what was done by them to further the cause of nazism, something not seen in other books about the Battle of Britain.
Unheard testimonies and archive material makes this a book that will end up in the glossaries of many to come.
