I really enjoyed this book a lot all the way up to when it got stupid . (I dont want to spill anything). The plot became unbelievable and the main character became a bit smug and annoying.
It’s such a shame because I was invested and it could of been quite a bit longer .
I usually love Jaqueline Druga and to be fair the first half was really good . It’s like she asked someone else to finish writing it .

To have the whole story wrap up in the way it did, completely took away all the great work that the author built up. would have worked as a series better than stand alone.

Interesting initial concept for the story but bland main character and rushed progression to culminate in a busy but dull story.
There are a lot better options in the genre

Starts off ok, apart from the graphic attempted suicide scene, (and, btw, Jacqueline, committing suicide isn’t ‘brave’), then deteriorates rapidly. The explanation for events and the ending are just ridiculous and nonsensical.

A promising start, but it becomes silly and boring very fast. Some bad grammar. Narrator is good.

Not terrible but the storytelling is a bit thin and I lost interest half way through and moved on to my next listen. May finish it when I've nothing better to listen to.
