About this listen

After Eglantine vanished, I thought I was through with ghosts. Then I went on a school excursion to Hill End and found myself investigating a whole bunch of them. First there was the ghost of Granny Evans, pacing around the museum. And Eustace Harrow smashing things up in Taylor's Cottage. But when two of my classmates disappeared, I realised things were about to get serious.

Editor reviews

Narrator Melissa Chambers captures sleuth for the supernatural Allie's practical, no-nonsense voice wonderfully, peppering her performance with attitude and sass. Allie and her friends are on a school excursion to Hill End, and even though Allie thought ghosts were finally out of her life, she finds herself investigating even more of them. Is Eustace Harrow haunting Taylor's Cottage? What's going on with the ghost of Granny Evans at the museum? After two of her classmates disappear, Allie realizes that there's more at stake than she previously thought. Ideal for middle-grade listeners, this story promises to be lots of spooky fun.

To be fair, Eglantine left a lot for this to live up to, so I am probably be unfairly harsh with Eustace, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first book in the series.

I can't tell you why without giving away too much of the story, so I am afraid you will just have to take my word for it, sorry
