About this listen
I'd risk it all just to get a taste of you....
Brandon: My plan was perfect…until it wasn’t. Whenever my heart was shattered, you were always there as my source of comfort. So when it happened yet again, I took the opportunity and put my plan into action: One kiss. One kiss shouldn't ruin us. Couldn’t. What we had was unbreakable. I didn't think I'd become obsessed, or that I'd want it again and again, but that was why I had to pretend it didn't happen. You meant too much to me to put it all on the line. I couldn't lose you if we failed. But it's becoming too unbearable, and I'm haunted by the memory of that one time we gave in. Can we take the biggest risk of our lives?
Andrew: My secret was mine…until it wasn’t. Did you know that I'd always wanted you? You dangled what we could be in front of me, but I couldn't tell if you meant it or not. Then, without a word, everything went back to how it was before, like it hadn’t happened. But it had, and I couldn't let it go. My heart still aches for you, and after watching you give yourself to other men for years, I'm at the end of my rope. We could be amazing if we weren't afraid, and I think it's time we give in again. Will our risk pay off or will it be our fall?
Fall of Us is book two in the Season of Change series. It's got best friends who learn to become lovers and all the feels. While it can be read as a standalone, it is best enjoyed in order.

Season of Change book 2
This is the second Season of Change book, it can be read as a standalone but I definitely recommend reading the series in order. As this was a reread (new format) I loved noticing some of the easter eggs for future books in the series.
The road to Brandon & Andrew's HEA isn't bump free. Oliver Williams does an excellent job conveying the range of emotions they both go through on their way to each other.

very good
Reread as audiobook. A really enjoyable narrator.
Story - 3.5 stars. I really enjoyed the writing style and most of the characters. Andrew was delightful to read, very vulnerable, and supportive. However, I struggled to like anything about Brandon, his fight to keep their changing relationship a secret just didn't make sense, and really hurt them both. He felt too sorry for himself, which I really dislike (he did have a lot of good traits, but it's a personal hangup). I am looking forward to the next book with more of the other characters.

So good!
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
spice: 🌶️🌶️
feelings: 🥰🥵😭😍🫠
narration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Fall of Us is the second book in the Season of Change series. I was really looking forward to the story of Brandon and Andrew. Their unusual relationship piqued my curiosity in the first part of the series. The book is a beautiful friends to lovers story. It's very emotional and gives us more insight into the dynamics of the friends in the group. What I particularly like about the series is that it's about ordinary students struggling to find their place in the world after graduation. This makes it very easy to put yourself in their shoes. I'm really looking forward to reading the next books in the series. I love the sizzling tension between Daniel and Shawn, and what's going on with Joe?
Oliver Williams is getting better with every book! Having a book as emotional as Fall of Us read to you by a talented narrator takes it to a whole new level!

Andrew & Brandon
Andrew and Brandon have been friends since childhood but one kiss changed everything and now they both want to ignore it. They ignore it to save their friendship until they can’t anymore but things aren’t plain sailing as Brandon has been hurt so many times and holds Andrew at arms length. I enjoyed this a bit more than the first book i think it was partly due to McKenzie Joes niece as the saying goes out if the mouthes of babes.
