‘Attention, please: T. J. Newman has written the perfect thriller! GILLIAN FLYNN, #1 bestselling author of Gone Girl

You just boarded a flight to New York.

There are one hundred and forty-three other passengers onboard.

What you don’t know is that thirty minutes before the flight your pilot’s family was kidnapped.

For his family to live, everyone on your plane must die.

The only way the family will survive is if the pilot follows his orders and crashes the plane.

Enjoy the flight.

Overall I enjoyed this, the characters were good, the action engaging, and it dealt in shades of grey rather than just black and white. But it was far from perfect. A little too cliche in places, action seemingly for actions sake at times, and an opening chapter that seemed added on last minute because the actual start of the story was too slow. I’d say it’s worth a listen, but don’t expect anything ground breaking, especially if you’ve read any John J Nance.

Good story, a little cliche

A most exciting and terrifying tale mares only by a somewhat ponderous multiple simultaneous perspective writing style which detracted from the tension
W elm worth reading or listening to

I really enjoyed this though it felt like it was dragging for the last couple of hours. I was ready for it to be over.

I did get mixed up with the characters, there was a lot to keep track of. the pilot and his family, the air stewards, the fbi lads, the terrorists. I was constantly mixing people up and trying to recall who was who.

the main character (pilot) and his wife were instantly likeable and I rooted for them the whole way through.

good story good performance

It's well written and keeps you interested. I found the jumping back and fourth off putting, however.
Plays out like a familiar Bruce Willis, Wesley Snipes or Sylvester Stallone action movie but, it's enjoyable all the same

Good read, well performed

Within minutes you are launched in to a tense gripping story. It's slick and efficient with narration that conveys the pace and atmosphere of the situation. Brilliant

Edge of the seat stuff

Not as good as was hoping after hearing a fair bit of hype. Nothing unexpected and fairly formulaic.

Disappointed

This story grabs you from the preface and doesn't let go until the end.

One minor niggle, this is one of those books that skips back and forth in time within chapters, maybe the printed book/ebook contained bullet points to signify the skip, I don't know, but a couple times I hadn't realised we'd skipped back in time or location etc until we'd been a bit into the section. It was frustrating but not enough of an issue to dock a star.

Fantastic, compulsive listening.
