About this listen
What do you do when your carefully planned life takes a wrong turn into hell? When Quinn Maguire, a dashing young trauma surgeon, unaccountably accepts a position as an ER physician, her new boss, Honor Blake, suspects that Quinn is hiding a dark secret. While the two declare an uneasy truce in an effort to work together, both struggle with mutual, and unexpected, attraction.
Honor, however, has more than one reason to resist her growing feelings for the attractive newcomer - not the least of which is that her heart belongs to the woman whose wedding ring she wears. Amidst the chaos and drama of a busy emergency room, Quinn and Honor must contend not only with the fragile nature of life, but also with the mysteries of the heart and the irresistible forces of fate.

Paging Dr. Love? Fated Love tells the story of two beautiful women - both skilled doctors in a Philadelphia emergency room - who don’t realize they’re falling in love with each other until they’re beyond a cure. Author Radclyffe shows off her gift for crafting believable characters and then throwing them into challenging situations in this smart medical romance. Her two heroines are dedicated, admirable characters who glimpse a future in each other that the losses in their pasts had made them think was impossible. The nuance and depth Abby Craden brings to these characters will keep them in your head long after the audiobook has ended.

Heart of the ER
I loved this book, this book is about Honor who is chief of the ER and Quinn who is a trauma surgeon who has just transferred from another hospital and joined Honor’s team in the ER department, her reason for transferring is all very suspicious.
I don’t want to say to much as it will give the story away.
They have great chemistry from the start and I was rooting for them. The side characters are great too and definitely add to the story.
I will say Radclyffe is an excellent author and puts a lot of drama and information into her books, I love the medical information. It has fantastic narration from Abby Craden. I will say I was like omg at the end and I cried. I can’t wait to see what book 2 (Night Call) in the series holds and hope to see Honor and Quinn in it.
Also Saxon Sinclair and Jude Castle make an appearance from Radcliffe's other book (Passion’s Bright Fury) which was another fantastic book, so maybe listen to Passion’s Bright Fury first so you know their story.

A beautiful love story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I recommend that they listen to the preview to find if they can "get along" with the narriator for sure. The story is wonderful though, I would definately recommend to read it in some form, whether audio, print or e-reader. If you like lesbian fiction, this is a must read.
What other book might you compare Fated Love to, and why?
Many of Radclyffe's other titles. This is a romance with a medical setting.... of the ones I've read I'd say most like Crossroads. I have read most of Radclyffes work, and I think this is one of her best. I really enjoyed it.
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Abby Craden?
I found Abby Craden to be an irritating narrator, she has this habbit of leaning on the last syllable in every sentance. She also reads the entire book in this suductive voice which kind of cheapens it.
I haven't listened to many audiobooks with narrators that might be suitible for this kind of book. I listened to Oath of Honor though, and I thought Betsy Zajko did a good job with that, so I'll have to go with Betsy Zajko.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Errrrm. I have no idea. Advertising is really not my bag.
Any additional comments?
I don't usually leave written reviews, I know that I am no good at it. I usually just leave a star rating but I felt the need to in this case as I thought the only other review that has been left was completely unfair (not to mention insulting to both the author and the readers!). While it is true that there are several erotic scenes, this is far more than a simple girl meets girl & falls into bed kind of a book.
Honor and Quinn are well developed and multifacated, realistic, and extremely likeable characters. Honor's wife Terry was tragicly killed in an accident several years before leaving her to bring up their child with the support of her mother-in-law. I thought the issue of Terry's death was handled with sensitivity and compassion from all perspectives. Quinn has troubles of her own which has led her away from the career she trained for and causes some problems both professionally and personally for the both of them. Without wanting to give too much away Honor finds the strength to allow herself to love again and Quinn not only falls in love with Honor, but also grows to love Honor's daughter & finds a place for herself in their family.

Loved every second
I enjoyed this so much it was difficult for me to leave it be. The characters pulled me in. I loved being part of this journey. Excellent writing from a wonderful Author. I am drawn to an excellent story which this is!
Abby, I can't find any other voice/narrator, that is so capable of making each character so individual. You are so skilled in your craft and an absolute must in my book.

Dire lesbian soft porn
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
Mills & Boon readers with sapphic curiosity
What was most disappointing about Radclyffe’s story?
Insipid characters, weak plot, shameless overuse of the word 'throat' and derivatives thereof.
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Abby Craden?
A story about strong, independent, professional gay women deserves a stronger, commanding voice, not soft porn husky and voyeuristic
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fated Love?
All of it

Good story, irritating narrator
I enjoyed the story. if it wasn't for the narrators voice, which I found annoying, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.
