About this listen

The Earth lies shaken in the aftermath of a conspiracy. Some of the smartest minds on the planet have striven for and died in an effort to scour the skies of four vast alien satellites, but their success has brought a terrible vengeance down upon us.

While alien agents stalk the Earth, a team of exhausted scientists and military outcasts struggle to fight them among a planet on the brink - the brink of plague, the brink of war, and the brink of an invasion larger than they can possibly imagine. But they have allies. Two of the alien agents have forsaken their homes, their families, and their very species to stop the greatest act of genocide any of them has ever known. They carry with them the knowledge we need to save humanity and take us into a new and marvelous age.

But Lana and the remaining enemy agents are far from defeated. As they begin to reap havoc among the diseased and bereft, Neal, Ayala, and Barrett must find a way to achieve the impossible - by fair means or foul, they must unite the world's disparate nations. And they must do so quickly, for the Armada is fast approaching, and behind the great fires of their decelerating engines, the huge fleet is readying itself for war.

More of the best invasion story I have ever heard

Natural continuation. As the main protagonists start to change strategies, and the game begins to get real.

Love this entire series, it’s just epic! RC Bray delivers yet another brilliant performance, bringing all the main characters to life.

A must for any one who enjoyed The Expeditionary Force and the likes.

Definitely worth a read

This book, being the second in the trilogy, like any other has more than enough potential to drag because they are usually there to build up to the grand finale. This book in particular I think has surpassed most in its execution, indeed it was and is a build up for the extremely anticipated "fear the future" but it balanced it out with its own mini story of espionage, research, war and its own little fist pumping climax. The whole thing from start to finish was attention gripping. While not always intense and gritty, it was intriguing to see the science of it all.

Any person that has given this book a lower rating purely on the fact it's slower pace and seems like filler simply must not understand what it takes to introduce such a potently vast universe as this.

I would say this, being the third book series I've delved into in recent months it's most definitely in no way inferior.

My compliments to the author.
