About this listen
A single person will not have a lot of problems keeping things to the bare minimum. Having a family is a different case altogether.
But, this audiobook will show you that it is possible to take minimalism to the family. It will help you and your family embrace minimalism to improve your household management. And finally, you'll be enjoying every second of your family life.
Therefore, we focus on actionable steps that you and your family can apply to your life. Here are the goals that this audiobook has set out to do:
- List the advantages of minimalism
- Understand the values for your family
- How to get the family on board
- Provide strategies for every room
- Give easy-to-do ideas for toyless activities
- Strategies to keep things in order
- Explain how minimalism can be taken beyond the home
If you've been trying to find a guide to bring your family back into focus, look no further; this audiobook is for you!
©2021 Kate Sommer (P)2021 Kate SommerSo I cleaned up all surfaces in our living room and put all unnecessary things away. I set up a little playing idea for each of my kids. A little tray with only blue and green lego bricks for my three-year-old. My six-year-old got a book that we haven't read in a while and a magnifying glass.
We had a great morning! I was curious how things would work, so I got up together with them. They were playing quietly, and I was just sitting there for 45 minutes, observing the two, a coffee mug in my hands.
That moment alone was worth purchasing the audiobook!
In the book, you will find a guide on how to approach your family and get everyone on board. Furthermore, how to apply minimalist concepts to every room and how to create a stimulating environment for your child. There is even a chapter on toyless activities for the whole family that can replace playing with toys or screen time. Keeping Things in Order and Digital Minimalism are two other chapters.
It's more of a workbook that you can benefit from for a long period of time. I like it!
