About this listen
I’m nannying for the grumpiest single billionaire dad in Manhattan... and he’s one outburst away from firing me.
I need a visa – like, yesterday. I’m not ready to leave the bright lights of New York for my seaside hometown in Ireland.
So, when the opportunity arises to become a live-in nanny maid for a billionaire single dad, I jump at the chance. How hard can it be, right?
Harder than I thought.
The first time I meet Killian Quinn, I get kicked out of his fancy hotel.
The second time we cross paths, the guy looks ready to slam the door in my face.
Yet, by some miracle (call it the luck of the Irish), he agrees to give me a chance. He’s desperate too.
But when Killian makes it clear that I’m the worst nanny maid in all of Manhattan, I’m one wrong move away from being deported.
So why is it when his eyes flash with anger, it feels like there’s something hotter than his temper under there?
And more importantly — can I take the heat?
Fifth Avenue Fling is a standalone, hot romantic comedy with a grumpy, billionaire single dad and his sunshine nanny.

Great story - hold up on second read
I was provided with this free by the author.
I read this when it first came out on kindle and loved it. One of my favourites by Rosa Lucas, although Taming Mr Walker is still my absolute favourite. Having been provided with a free copy on audible I wondered if it would hold up on a second go around and it did. Clodagh is sunshine, funny, determined, honest and a little bit ditzy. Killian is grumpy, demanding, emotionally closed off, but trying to be a good dad to his 12 year old daughter, just making a bit of a mess of it. Clodagh ends up being his nanny and things go from there. I love grumpy/sunshine and a forced proximity romance and this one ticks all the boxes.
Re the narration though it’s OK, there are a few issues.
The female narrator is brilliant as Clodagh, except when we come to the spicy bits, when she suddenly sounds like she’s reading a shopping list. I’m not sure if she has done much of this type of work, but she almost sounded like she was embarrassed at times. She was also not so great at the male characters, sounded robotic.
The male narrator was also poor at female characters, and his American accent sounded a bit off as well - not sure if he isn’t British (although not too sure on that ) something sounded a bit off. He also occasionally said his lines in the wrong character, which was a bit confusing.
This would have worked better as a duet.
Overall though the narration was adequate.
I’d say this is worth a credit as it’s a great story, well written, and the narration doesn’t detract from that.

Fabulously funny
This is a laugh out loud romcom, which kept me listening until the wee small hours! Clodagh (rhymes with Yoda) becomes a nanny maid for the daughter of widowed NYC billionaire Killian. She’s not a normal nanny nope, she’s a carpenter…of course she is. But she needs a green card and he needs someone to help with his daughter in a hurry, when his usual nanny has a family crisis. Clodagh’s character is brilliantly drawn. She’s funny, independent and quite happy to stand up for herself and determined not to fall for the tall, dark haired, blue-eyed billionaire. How their relationship developed kept me hooked. It’s hilarious at times and i so wanted to slap Killian every now and then 😂. Love Rosa Lucas books and this didn’t disappoint. Recommended!

Another brilliant listen from Rosa
Never been disappointed with one of Rosa’s books, this is another one that I will listen to again & again. First book in the Billionaire’s in charge series and was brilliantly narrated by Niamh McEnhill & Dale Grant as Clodah & Killian. The banter between Clodah & her best friend Orla had me laughing out loud. Killian well what can I say, hot hot hot 🔥

Fabulous audiobook
I have read the book when it came out and loved it so was keen to revisit the story with this audiobook. It is absolutely fantastic- the actors really bring to life the feisty heroine and the grumpy hero. I was hooked and relived this story all over again. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
