About this listen
Siri Lindley wanted to be a world champion triathlete . . . even though she didn't know how to swim. She wanted to love and be loved . . . even though her father shunned her because she was gay. She wanted to savor every day and enjoy the life she'd made with her wife, her career, and her passion for horses . . . even though in November 2019 she was diagnosed with a rare—and usually fatal—form of acute myeloid leukemia.
Every time Siri has faced what seemed impossible, she found a way to not only survive the situation, but to thrive within it. Today, she's cancer free, a triathlon world champion, happily married, and one of the most popular coaches and motivational speakers in the world. Finding a Way is her life-giving guide for listeners who are feeling stuck between the life they want to live and the life that they're living now.
This book gives you the tools and strategies you need to find a way through your struggles and on to triumph. You have everything you need inside of you to do this. You get to go first in deciding what story you want to live in any moment. You get to go first in deciding what is possible for you, what you are capable of, and what life's challenges will mean for you.

I chose to listen to the audiobook along with reading the physical book too. The author narrates the audiobook, I found her easy to listen to and very enjoyable and engaging. The emotion of all her experiences really comes across as she is speaking. It was great to have the physical version too for all the exercises there are along the way.
I really admire Siri, for all her work with saving the horses, this story broke my heart of how the horses were treated. I never knew this before. But Siri and her wife have since saved so many horses.
Siri developed a rare type of cancer and today she is cancer free. There is of course a lot more to the story behind all this but I suggest picking up a copy of this book for yourself to read about this truly remarkable woman.
There are so many helpful tools in the book to find away to implement ways into your own lives to change how we act and do things.
I’ll certainly be using some of these tools to make changes myself. I highly recommend giving this a read or a listen as Siri truly is very inspirational.

The books’ author is a world champion triathlete who decided she wanted to be a triathlete before she could even swim & someone who has overcome personal and health traumas. It is a book about Siri’s life but it also gives really practical & sensible tips about how to apply some of the life lessons. The reminders and assessments at the end of chapters are especially good.
I have some key takeaways that will be really helpful in the future; it’s really helped me to think more deeply & reflect much more. In a professional capacity I am always reflecting & adapting but reading this helped me to realise that I don’t always apply the same thinking in a personal capacity; it’s reminded me to ask myself some really important questions.
My favourite chapters were the ones on intention and health. The intention chapters were particularly helpful for me when thinking about my feelings around getting things wrong & failure. It’s something we all worry about isn’t it? The chapter just really helped me to see that my intention often shapes my feelings on the outcome. I know it’s not revolutionary but things that seem deceptively simple are often the most powerful and impactful.
Whether you normally read this genre or not, I’d definitely recommend giving it a go because I’m sure there’s a helpful message in it for everyone.
So many helpful takeaways
