It takes the reader through a path to understanding the reasons why we expect so much of our body and why we end up being so unforgiving with ourselves and where the high expectations come from. I got many aha moments about nutrition and exercise. It helped me understand my past failures and it gave me tools to overcome them. One very valuable tip is about getting over the dreaded plateau! This book is amazing. the author has done an excellent job of covering every aspect of health and well being I wanted and more.
I loved the chapter on menopause but also the one that talks about sugar, as that is my downfall!! Another point the author talks about is sitting for long periods of time in a chair...which again spoke to me as I do that, not out of choice but as a working mum, I sometimes can be sat in one position for hours.
I have already started the exercise regime and reduced my sugar intake..it was tough fir the first week, but I am starting to feel better and have more energy.
I have already started to make little changes, the way I think, feel and relate to food and even thinking about my spirituality!
I will continue to make these little changes into permanent habits, as I believe they are in the best interest of my body and mind.
Amazing book, I would highly recommend it if you are looking to learn and make changes for the better you.
