Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Probably not. The story started off well, but didn't really go anywhere, and the narration was irritating.

How could the performance have been better?

Not putting on silly fake 'foreign' accents or squeaky girl voices for the different characters.

Joined my list of all-time favourite novels. Could only listen to this audiobook book in the daytime! A cross between a thriller and a horror - but the kind of tale that, shockingly and sadly does really occur...Will check out the author's previous and future work for sure. Stunningly terrifying!

Yes, it was an emotional book - very deep and disturbing.

What did you like best about this story?

It got better and better all the way through.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The scariest one! For me it was when they went into a Police Station abroad and had that sudden realisation that they were less safe there than anywhere they had been before...

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I'd have loved to.

This really was a great book, highly recommended. Delves into things you'd prefer to brush aside with your conscious mind but know that it's possible.

The plot was both predictable in parts and beyond credibility in others, it also dragged on for too long.

The characters weren't strong or well-crafted and not a single one was particularly likeable.

I did listen through to the end, but only to see if what I expected to happen would happen and it did.

Won't be rushing back to this author.

Surely this will be transferred to the small screen! Tension, worry, disgust, anguish, dread, fear, this book has it all. I preferably would've preferred a deeper, manly voice, who could also create girls work.
