About this listen
The dead talk. To the right listener, they tell us all about themselves: how they lived, how they died--and who killed them.
Val McDermid uncovers the secrets of forensic medicine with groundbreaking research and her own experience. Along the way you’ll wonder at how maggots collected from a corpse can help determine time of death and how a DNA trace a millionth the size of a grain of salt can be used to convict a killer.

Fascinating
This was really interesting and I learnt loads about forensic evidence. Don’t let the reviews about the accents put you off. The narrator is Scottish and occasionally she’ll do an accent i.e. northerner, Londoner, etc.

Forensics
an enjoyable insight into many different areas of forensics. Only downside for me is that I had heard many of the stories previously in other books / podcasts etc. well worth a listen.

Unmissable...
First class. Interesting from the first word. The narration is excellent. I have seen complaints about the accents but I found them to be a useful addition to the narration which was excellent throughout.

Fascinating and exciting
As a budding forensic scientist, this is one of the many books I read (listened to) on the subject.
This is a fantastic overview of various disciplines, the history of forensic science, methods and improvements to the science used to solve crime and prosecute criminals.
Highly recommend.

Brilliant Book
I love watching programs such as these on the television, so I thought I would give this book a go. Well it did not disappoint, absolutely brilliant. Well thought out and well written. If I had one complaint it would be the narration. There seemed to be an awful lot pf pauses. No matter, it didn't distract from the quality of the the book and its information.
