About this listen

Sirens…

Then it begins.

When the fabric of society is torn apart by a deadly viral outbreak, Harmony and Dan find themselves in a terrifying race to find their loved ones and stay one step ahead of the infected. They're quickly absorbed into a world that has collapsed and surrounded by a deadly pathogen that doesn't discriminate. The only question that remains—did the outbreak already seal their doom?

The main characters are your every day couple, not some amazing hero like figures which makes the listening so much more compelling, to the extent I've just brought the second book.

Predictably you feel yourself willing them to make realisations quicker as they find themselves at the onset of the apocalypse, realisations only known with knowing the genre of the book. I found myself very cross at an action, seemingly selfless, which actually showed selfish in this new world- it's a sign of a good story when it makes you feel invested in this way.

characters are your every day folk
