Most relevant  
I adore Georgette Heyers books and have read and listened to most of them numerous times. I especially like the more outlandish characters who often have the most brilliant and amusing way of talking - the sillier the better in my book. The Nonsuch is in my top 5 along with Sylvester but this is a close rival. The narrator does a superb job (especially Jason the Tiger) and I was laughing almost to the point of tears in some parts. I note a few people have commented that it was too up tempo but I think it suited the characters being depicted and emphasized their less than squeaky clean personalities. It's a good old comedy of errors/romantic romp. Fantastic.

This has been one of my favourite books for many years and is still one I enjoy re-reading. Owen Findlay does a superb job of narrating, getting just the right tone of voice for both male and female characters as well as interpreting the style of the period language.
This production truly deserves the 5 star rating. Heartfelt thanks to all involved.

I recommend changing it to 0.8 speed - the narration is ridiculously fast. Did the producers even listen to it?! But it is fine at the reduced speed. Lovely story.

I was so pleased this narration came up to expectation.
I love this story of carefree young blades, going about their priviledged lives, in a rather strict society while still enjoying the spirit of youth!
At the same time, one of them taking on a wife from the schoolroom for no other purpose than to get his hands on his inheritance. Needless to say, things don't go exactly to plan. A heartwarming, endearing, easy to listen too novel. I have this by another narrator, the story is the same but this is by far the best narration, with all characters voices easy to listen to and understand. Enjoy it.

An absolutely delightful novel, and Owen Findlay absolutely hits the nail on the head with this narration. The different voices for each character are just spot on, he captures each one so beautifully. Owen, you're a genius!

Good story. Narrator is excellent actor of character voices. Narrative sections somewhat unclear due to casual accent used. Some usual Penguin issues about under-researched pronunciation. Good production apart from that.

I have read and reread this book and completely enjoyed the narration in this. I felt it was in tone with the book. Heyer is my favourite author and her books seem like old friends.

Really enjoyable, once I discovered the narration speed adjuster. At 8.5, it’s perfect.
This is one of Heyer’s most witty and engaging stories, with an endearing cast of characters.
Hero shrugs off a couple of clips round the ear from her beloved Sherry - quite shocking to us now of course - but , hey, it’s of its time....
