About this listen
It is a typical holiday season at chaotic Chicago O’Hare when a few members of the large Alexander family waited to board flights - one to South Carolina and the other to Washington, DC. At the same time, a member of the Montgomery clan from the Pennsylvania mountains also waited for a delayed flight. Little did either family know or suspect, the effects from this first meeting would last forever.
Family is everything to the Alexanders and the Montgomerys. Although they both come from farm backgrounds, they didn’t know each other or the histories involved. However, these two divergent clans would come together and change the lives of so many - and maybe even the world. As their lives play out and intertwine in surprising ways, they face a challenging future and marshal their forces to work for the better good of all.

For those that love stories that don’t end at the end of the book
I was recommended this author, and was I glad I was. I am not one for reading a book that ends when you read the last page. I knew this had potential when it is described as episodes. You are firstly introduced to Vivian Alexander and Chuck Montgomery and you know this chance meeting with develop over time. You then meet Kenneth and Benjamin, two of her brothers. They come from a supportive family who have raised their children with a good moral compass and a generous heart and soul.
This story is brilliantly read by Kelly Hazen. Her many voices bring these characters to life and you feel you are there with them. I do not enjoy books that are read by one person with no change to the voice, I lose my way and the characters do not seem real. I am looking forward to listening to the next episode in this series ❤️
