About this listen
Jason Thomas had always been obsessed with the ghost stories he'd watched on television from the time he was a kid. He'd always dreamed of visiting those haunted places and playing amateur ghost hunters with his best friend, Wade. As they grew older, Jason's fascination with ghosts grew, as well, and he'd drag Wade along to different haunted houses or hotels, always hoping to see an actual ghost.
Wade Rivers loved spending time with Jason, even if it meant he'd have to endure another creepy, supposedly haunted location. Friends since they were kids and always inseparable, Wade's feelings for Jason deepened from friendship into something more. Unfortunately, so did his fear of the places Jason wanted to explore.
The chance to spend a weekend alone in a famous haunted house was too much for Jason to resist and almost too much for Wade to endure. He knew going to the deserted house was everything Jason had ever dreamed of, so Wade tried to put his fears aside. But when paranormal things start to happen, admitting to Jason how he feels suddenly isn't the scariest thing Wade will encounter.

Ghost Story
Wade has had a crush on his ghost hunting friend, Jason, for while. They, (well Jason really), decide to go to another supposed haunted house for a weekend. This time, they get a bit more than they've been used to. While trying to make sense of the creepy things that are happening, they figure out that they have feelings for each other.
It's was an OK story, the guys find that ghosts are real and help said spirits to move on. There wasn't much chemistry between the MCs (in my opinion), but I enjoyed the paranormal bit.
Allen Jeffries is a new narrator to me. He had a good voice for the characters and made it an enjoyable listen.

Spooky and charming friends-to-lovers
Loved this story about two ghost hunting friends, Jason and Wade. In the beginning Jason's the one who's most interested in ghosts and Wade's interested in, well, Jason. After a while things start to get real, both in terms of huntings and in terms of feelings. We get an engaging start to Jason and Wade's story and I'm looking forward to listening to more books in this series.
Allen Jeffries' narration, is clear and nuanced and adds to the story.

Great start to a new series.
Yet again, I am gifted a book that I have not read the blurb to. What a wonderful unexpected read. I have to add that I rarely, if ever, read an authors blurb. I feel that they often reveal too much of the book for my liking.
Wade and Jason, friends who have loved each other for years, finally act on it. Even though I wouldn't say I like horror films and ghosts, I adored these books, and they don't make me jump, which is always a bonus. Also, I love the dynamics between the main characters.
The narration was OK, but I did wince at some of the characters performed by Allen Jefferies, especially the female voices. I did increase the speed, but this is normal for me.

Ghost Hunters- Friends to Lovers
This was a great friends to lovers paranormal MM story. It was like an episode of a ghost hunter or paranormal show.
Jason is so excited to find ghosts and prove they are real so he drags his friend Wade with him. A lot happens when they spend the weekend at a haunted house. If any of that ghost stuff happened to me, I would’ve been out of there right away!
As things get stranger in the house, the closer Jason and Wade get to each other and their true feelings come out. The funny thing is that Wade is the one that wants to see all the ghosts and he ends up missing a lot of it for certain reasons.
I enjoyed Allen Jeffries as a narrator but it did take me awhile to get used to Jason’s voice. Great start to the series!

Spooky and romantic.
I must admit that I am easily spooked, so some parts of this book freaked me out a bit, especially in the first part, where not all the facts are known… but in the end I coped really well and enjoyed Wade and Jason’s story a lot.
The book has just the right balance of spooky and romance, and I am so glad to know that Jason and Wade will continue their paranormal investigations! I feel just like Wade does in the book: I started freaked out and now I want more adventure!
