Summary
When Ellie Chapman inherits a dilapidated farm, perched high up on the cliffs above the English Channel, it’s not long before she decides to launch a wedding business. After all, with a mum whose cake baking skills rival Mary Berry’s, and the perfect venue, it seems the natural choice.
She might be a total novice when it comes to the first wedding, but with a bride who leaves everything until the last minute, a vengeful ex-fiancé of her own, and the world’s naughtiest donkey.... What could possibly go wrong?

Another great book
From the minute I started listening to the book I was captured. The narrator was also excellent.
Jo Bartlett is a brilliant author & I’ve never been disappointed in any of her books. I’m now going to settle down with the 2nd book in the series & a cup of tea.

Feel good story with strong community feeling
I love Jo's stories! This was one of her older books and a brilliant start to a series. It's not that long a story, but long enough to get you fully invested in Ellie's story and all those around her. I loved Ellie from the start and her relationship with her mother was just lovely. It was quite the adventure when they inherit a farm including some animals. This was really one of those feel good stories where grumpy people become less grumpy, there's a baddy and some disasters and misunderstandings, but in the end all ends well and you are left smiling and eagerly awaiting your return to this new place.

Just the right length
Nice short story.
Have listened to Jo Bartlett and though her books are nice easy listens, can be a tad repetitive and drag on forever with little additional content to the main theme.
This book was concise and just the right length

Fun and romance on the farm
Most enjoyable. Silly in places.
A variety of characters. I particularly liked the mother/daughter relationship.
The ‘baddy’ was the least convincing.
Entertaining animals.
Cosy community.
Pretty countryside.
I’d definitely listen to another of Jo Bartlett’s stories.

A sweet little tale of love!
Another lovely tale of romance and love from Jo Bartlett. Just as lovely as the many others I have read by this author. I did dislike Rupert and it was nice to have such a baddie in amongst the sweet lovely characters. I loved every word!
