Summary

"L'anno scorso, a novembre, un libro mi ha salvato la vita." Le coincidenze non esistono. Ne è sicura Aurélie Bredin, giovane e attraente chef che gestisce da qualche anno il eistorante di famiglia, Le Temps des cerises, a due passi da boulevard Saint-Germain. Un pomeriggio, più triste che mai, Aurélie si rifugia in una libreria, dove si imbatte in un romanzo intitolato Il sorriso delle donne. Incuriosita, inizia a leggerlo e scopre un passaggio in cui viene citato proprio il suo ristorante. Decide di contattare l'autore per ringraziarlo, ma ogni tentativo di conoscere lo scrittore - un misterioso ed elusivo inglese - viene bloccato da André, l'editor della casa editrice francese che ha pubblicato il romanzo. Aurélie non si lascia scoraggiare e, quando finalmente riuscirà nel suo intento, l'incontro sarà molto diverso da ciò che si era aspettata.
