In a crowded genre this is a fresh voice that definitely needs to be heard if you are a fan of sexually graphic and gruesomely intense thrills. It definitely tips its hat to 'American Psycho' and other such nihilist killer thrillers but in a particularly English way.
I started the next Will Carver novel ('Nothing Important Happened Today') straight afterwards and the theme of cult suicides seems by contrast, like light relief!

I literally couldn’t stop listening to this audio book. Engaging, funny and dark from the offset.
I can’t believe this hasn’t been made into a tv drama yet!

Fabulous novel I will keep for another time and recommend to friends and family - although there is substantial sexual content (a bit too much sometimes) it is pertinent to this dark, twisty tale but completely unsuitable for younger minds. Concentration is essential as there are multiple complex characters that all play their part and would be easy to become more than a little lost. Narration is spot on and as that is almost as important to me as is the story, I was a happy listener.

Loved it..................it was gritty/edgy and well written/narrated. My only gripe was that there are just soooooooo many short chapters. But well worth a listen

Well, I will never look at household cleaning products the same way again, that’s for sure!
This book is mind-bogglingly dark and gruesome yet equally captivating and entertaining. I was curious, shocked, disgusted and absorbed; I smiled and blushed to mention just some of the emotions this story made me feel. It was gripping from start to finish and I ended up listening to the whole audiobook in one day.
I highly recommend Good Samaritans to everyone who enjoy their stories dark, twisted and infused with a sprinkle of humour.

This book was recommended to me. I'm so pleased i checked it out sad I've finished it in a few days think I sat in the car longer after I'd parked up just to hear what happens next. We'll written well read and bloody good twists
