I always enjoy David's stories. The Grim series was great. This series should be a great spin-off but the narrator's voice make it almost
painful. Her Scots accent is like nails on a blackboard and it's an endurance test to listen until the end. Such a shame.

Great story but grating narration.

Absolutely cracking second book. A slightly different approach to this compared to Harry Grimm but nevertheless excellent. Great plot twist and totally unexpected villain!

A great new series

I went straight from book one of this series to this second book. This time Gordy investigates a case which seems to involve devil worship.

Now this book is definitely not for the faint hearted. The murders are very gory and brutal 😱. The plot is a bit unrealistic, but ,hey this is fiction, but it was cer ainly unputdownable. Gordy is still grief stricken and again this is handled very well. The descriptions of Somerset made me want to spend a few days there.

Excellent narration by Ruth Urquhart.

Excellent .... but not for the faint hearted!

The narrators accents are awful, unfortunately, which takes away from the story and becomes annoying

Good story

A brilliant twisted plot delivered in David Gatward's no nonsense style once again. This second book in the Gordy Haigh series is a superb listen, with all the characters we are coming to know the book is edge of the seat listening and I am already looking forward to the nest episode. I particularly like the descriptions of the locations, never been to Somerset but Dave's descriptions make it as if you are there. My only criticism more noticeable in this book than the first, and I don't know if it's a Somerset thing is that almost every other sentence ends with a question. I found it Very irritating. Ruth Urquhart's narration was superb and added to the drama of the story. Highly Recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book and leave this honest review.

Second book in new series. Great storyline many twists and turns. David Gatward and narrated by Ruth her second book. The scenes are well described I could almost be there

Brilliant book 2 in series

It really was complete nonsense and complete waste of a credit! I have listened to many of David Gatward’s books and enjoyed most of them

Utter rubbish I’m afraid!

Story spoiled by really bad shouty narration. Very difficult to distinguish characters at times. The conclusion was not believable.

Too long
