Wow! I’m not even sure I can write a review that will do this book the justice that it deserves. Tricky’s book is an authentic and honest look back at his life, not just his life within the music industry but all areas of his personal and private life. I believe some people are sent here to show us that great things can be achieved in life through adversity and I whole heartily believe Tricky is one of those people. Listening to his story I believe that he has withstood the test of time in his industry for his authenticity and honesty to his craft and himself, and I totally stand with him when he says that his best is yet to come!
I loved the tales of Tricky’s family and the Godfrey family of Bristol, my family come from the Godfrey lineage too and I completely resonated with the family tales and the nostalgia that it brought. The Godfrey men are tough but there is no strength like that of a woman with Godfrey blood in her veins 💜.
I won’t go any further as I don’t want to ruin the book for anyone else but I just want to say, I read a lot and even if you don’t know Tricky’s music or aren’t necessarily a fan this is still an amazing read.

totally captivating from start to finish tricky sounds like someone you grew up with if your a certain age and from humble beginnings just a real person being himself and doing things his way this book made me laugh reflect and sob at times you don't have to like his music to appreciate this story it's a powerful story full stop .
