About this listen

Time and tide wait for no witch…

Darcy Ingram's time in supernaturally-tinged Brookhaven has been anything but idyllic. She solved one murder, but now a friend is begging for help finding his missing sister. A day cruise with her co-workers sounds like just the break she needs. But when a passenger dies under unusual circumstances, she finds herself tangled up in another mystery.

Darcy’s snooping suggests her missing person may be involved, but as she unearths more clues about the victim’s life, she’s left with more questions and a growing list of suspects.

With the help of her friends and her blossoming plant magic. Darcy uncovers the killer. But will her power be enough to save her friend’s life and stop the killer in their tracks?

HIGH TIDE is the second novel in the Brookhaven Cozy Mystery series. Get ready to sprinkle some magic into your mystery. The Brookhaven Cozy Mystery series is best enjoyed in order. You can start Darcy's journey in book 1, High Noon.

I enjoyed this book. This book concludes the first book, so it is better if you have read the previous book, only because it wraps up what happened to Walter's missing sister. The first book last a star from me because of the cliff hanger so it was nice to get closure with this book and to the out what happened. I liked the characters and especially there unusual witch powers, which played a big part in the story and added to the fun. I didn't really think a plant or earth witch would be so handy but Darcy certainly put her powers to good use. The mystery played out nicely and while I am not sure the motive was a good enough reason for murder it certainly kept me guessing and was again unusual. A fun supernatural cozy mystery series. Off to start the next book.
With sales up at the marijuana shop and the holiday weekend ahead, the owner Sage decides to treat her employees with a boat trip to one of the small islands. Walter tags along in the hopes that he might find more information on his missing sister. Instead when one of the passengers ends up dead all the clues point to the missing sister. Can Darcy find Walter's sister? And clear her name? The only way to do that is to find out who wanted a dying woman dead.
I liked the narrator. She helped to cast a spell over the listener to keep you listening.
