About this listen

A billionaire silver-screen hero finds a real-life heroine in this sizzling romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Ruth Cardello.

Sage Revere follows her instincts, which have led to an oddball career as a plant psychologist. As a side project, she also helps strangers find happiness. Sage has a gift for knowing who needs her help, and the brooding hunk of a loner she meets in a coffee shop certainly fits the bill. She can feel it.

On-screen, Eric Westerly is the hottest superhero there is. Offscreen, he’s out of rehab; incognito in London; and reevaluating his life, his career, and his broken family ties. All he wants is to be alone. Then along comes some daft plant whisperer who gets under his skin. She’s also sweet, sexy, and irresistible. But what’ll happen when she finds out who he is—that underneath the gray spandex, he’s just a regular guy with a Batcave?

But Eric isn’t the only one with a few secrets. And when the masks come off, Sage and Eric are going to have to trust each other if they want a Hollywood happy ending.

The story was good, but being English the accents grated badly. Would have just read the story, if I were not so busy. We do not all talk as if we have aplomb in our mouths.

Terrible British acsents

I find I need to speed up the narration or it seems to slow. But I'm more of a reader than listener. but enjoyed these stories and great to listen to something while doing chores. Comes with Kindle unlimited so kept these books for when I couldn't read it myself.

I can't exactly pinpoint what made me give up this series, but at this point it was just a lot. Having two or more pov and being written in the third person is always a no for me but I liked the story that was promised. In the end it always was lacking in the last books. This one the robotic narration was just too much, the chemistry between main characters non existent, how they met is just ridiculous. The crass language, yeah don't start me on that.Really disappointed, it's not often you find authors with lots of books on KU with audio as well, so I was excited, but after each book in the series the excitement was losing intensity. I wouldn't recommend

So disappointing, DFN

Was that supposed to be an English accent? I’ve just bought this, and totally regretting using my precious audible credit for this. Ruth Cardello is great so it has nothing to do with the story line.
This needs a re-narration! I doubt I can continue this, I’m going to get the book.

Appalling narration!

Well that 7hrs I’ll never get back.
Whilst the narrator has a lovely voice, her accents for Sage and Bella were awful and irritating, God knows where she thought people spoke like that! I cringed from the opening line until Sage’s last words, awful.
As for the storyline, it was too far fetched. Botany physiologist, Waterbear Man, a king and a prince? It felt like the author was having a bad month, couldn’t come up with anything decent and hated herself with every word she typed.
Don’t waste your time with this one…utter rubbish and drivel.

Irritating accents, ridiculous storyline
