Summary

Malcolm Pembroke never expected to make a million pounds without making enemies. Nor did he expect his latest wife to be brutally murdered. All the clues suggest the killer comes from close to home, but after five marriages and nine children, that still leaves the field wide open.

When he find his own life in danger, Pembroke entrusts his safety to his estranged son, Ian, an amateur jockey; and through him discovers a compulsive new outlet for his financial expertise. Soon he's playing the international blood stock market for incredible stakes. Not the safest bet for a man on the run from avaricious relatives. Particularly when one of them's got a bomb.

Hot Money by Dick Frances

I enjoyed this Dick frances book very much. Got a little muddled with some of the characters. but, in no way did that spoil the story. As by the last chapter, with Tony Brittons great narrating. All had become very clear.Just ordering my next one.

A Truly Great Read

I read this book about 30 years ago and was thrilled to find it on Audible. It is a fantastic whodunnit and superbly narrated by Tony Britton. I will be downloading more Dick Francis!!

The Exciting World of Dick Francis.

I like any book by Dick Francis, and so Hot Money did not disappoint. It was excellent. I could not stop listening to it. As I was crocheting a child's dress while listening, that dress was finished in record time !

Really excellent narration.

I very much enjoyed the story and out of the several Dick Francis books I have heard read by this narrator I thought this one stood out for its superb narration.
A thoroughly enjoyable listen

Another quality production

Convoluted, fast paced crime drama, Tony Britton is the perfect reader. Enjoyed every minute of bit

Different but interesting

A different style and storyline than many so at first wondered when it would get going. A slower pace perhaps but still as enjoyable.

He's done it again

What with another smashing story and a brilliant narrator one could not put this down 10 out of 10.

The saying about not being able to choose your relatives comes to mind.

Thought I had actually read all Dick Francis’ books but this one slipped through the net. I listened over a weekend and was able to keep track of the characters……a substantially sized family!
Compulsive listening thanks to the author/ narrator combination. The audio is a little odd in places ( not as bad as some in this series) but at least they have been preserved.
