About this listen
Two possible futures loom before Miss Anne Davenport. The first option: sharing an unhappy home with her father and soon-to-be stepmother. The second: a life of independence at the Spinster House, if only her friend, Cat, would vacate the premises and marry the Duke of Hart. A well-placed whisper about the pair's secret tryst might speed the course of true love. But the duke's stubborn cousin poses an obstacle - a ridiculously handsome, very persuasive obstacle…
Nate, Marquess of Haywood, has spent his life looking out for the duke, hoping to stave off a family curse. The only way to keep his cousin alive is to keep him single. That means convincing the intriguing Miss Davenport that her lovely lips could be put to far better use than gossiping. Kissing, for instance. In fact Nate is beginning to hope that Miss Davenport's destiny lies not in the Spinster House at all but with him.
Contains mature themes.

So disappointed
I thought book 2 would continue from book 1 so we will know what happened. I mean the book concentrates soo much on the curse but we don't get to know what happened, was it beiken, did it not exists at all, will the Duke die. This book is exactly rhe same time line as the first one. A lot of the scenes in book 1 are repeated from the perspective of Nate and Anne. And.the.spinster house, I mean it said no spinster ever married and now suddenly all of them are? I sure hope book 3 isn't Jane's romance in exactly the same time and I do have a sneaking suspicion it will be.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat…
In contrast to its predecessor “What To Do With A Duke”, this story starts slowly (& laboriously) and reaches a more acceptable resolution.
Ironically, the reason for its laborious start, is because it’s still - in large part - the culmination of book one. (So I dare say that book three will be the longest - I’m expecting an epilogue at least 2 years into the future to tie up all of the many loose ends).
I like this story a little less than the first, because, with the exception of Stephen and Edward, plus the 2 main characters, none of the others that we are introduced to are pleasant people. Anne’s father is the worst and his prospective wife is no better. I don’t think that we’re meant to like them…
This is included in the Audible Plus Catalogue. The 3rd one “How To Engage An Earl” isn’t included (as yet - I’m not sure if it’s been recorded), l won’t be pursuing it if it isn’t.
