About this listen

I, Nano appeals to those who enjoyed The Darkest Minds and X-Men.

After nuclear Armageddon, the low-caste masses live in a digital utopia while their bodies starve, kept alive and complacent by nano-bots and AI implants. Mazz’s AI glitches, making him highly unpopular at high school. Accidents follow him wherever he goes. It turns out that his glitchy AI causes nano-bots to misbehave around him.

Can Mazz learn to control his abilities before a group of warriors hunts him down?

The book I, Nano was retry light hearted for the first 3/4 of the book before changing to a more serious ending. J F Lawrence skilfully weaves descriptions onto the storyline that enhance the story rather than feeling like they are ‘fillers’. It was good to see how the characters developed depth as the story progresses drawing you in and leading to you actually caring what happens to the group of children, The narrator did a fantastic job too which really enhanced the listening experience.

Definitely worth reading!
