I Probably Shouldn't Have Done That chronicles the series of vast, at times incomprehensible, mistakes that Jules makes in an attempt to get over her first "serious" boyfriend. It follows her through drunken nights, drunker nights, bad dates, worse dates, encounters with her ex, and a very few glistening moments of hope and self-realization.

It is a thoroughly sad break-up story, an occasionally naive love story, and a comical train wreck throughout.

The story was good, but sometimes it was overly negative and I got bored, listening to the complaining, but overall it was quite funny and easy to relate to so not bad listening.

Funny but a bit whingey

Whilst the narrator did a good job of reading the story, the story itself was lacklustre, i can't even recall how she met her love interest, it's quite dull for a short story.

Had been advised this might fight a prompt in a reading challenge a 'comical read'. It wasn't funny, endearing or enjoyable. I really didnt like the use of retard several times in the book or comparing a date to "entertaining an autistic child'.

I haven't felt this much hate for a book since I read Diary Of An Oxygen Theif.

I thought this would be a short, comical book, but in reality, she's not funny, she thinks she's quirky and 'different from other girls', and repeatedly uses the 'R' word slur. She also compares a date to "entertaining an autistic child," which made me uncomfortable.

"I didn't expect him to believe that, but he did, because he's a fucking idiot" - sorry but why would someone not believe you when you say that your ex boyfriend died in a fire? Why is that even something that you'd lie about?

This book wasn't it for me.
