Truly awesome

I don’t want to be a cliche but this book is amazing. It is a bit of a graft but you get out of it what you put into it. The writing is awesome. I loved this book

listening to this book .. 50+ hrs over these past strange few weeks . . the river of words .. ripples and Eddy's time taking on the texture of water
swimming in that liminal mindscape just at the edge

Sean Pratt deserves an Oscar for this.

Sean Pratt deserves an Oscar for this reading, hundreds of characters, all with subtly diff. dialects and accents. He totally nails this and in dojng so makes it massively easier for us to keep tabs on who is who.

A master-class in audio book narration

I will keep this brief. This is the finest narration of any audio book I have so far listened to. Wallace's characters are brought to vivid life and what is considered to be a difficult read by some is made wholly accessible. A truly fine performance.

Stunning

A superb performance of a wonderful book that I am going to have to read again (and again) to fully appreciate. Should be on everyone’s ‘must read’ list.

Great Book, Great Performance, but no End Notes.

Infinite Jest is one of those books that a lot of people know of but have never read. So creating an audiobook version is a no-brainer. Partly since it makes the book more accessible and partly because it lets you enjoy the flow of Wallace's prose. Add to that Sean Pratt does a fantastic job. But be warned: this audiobook has no End Notes. I understand it would be difficult to get them to work in audio format, but the version on Audible US has them, so why can't we? Please Audible, add the end notes, and then this would be perfect.

I feel bereft now that it's over

A true Masterpiece! As a disclaimer; I am far from qualified to dole out literary review, though I can say for myself, that this experience has changed my life substantially. Made me want to find a higher power only to thank for the experience, or the entertainment. Made me want to curse the higher power for not intervening to keep David Foster Wallace here on Earth. I've reached the end of a book that I know for myself will never be over.

Thank You Sean Pratt!

A hard, but worthwhile book

Exceptionally well written, but also expect to be very confused for the first 20 hours as to wherethe plot is going. persevere and all will become clear eventually.

I would also avoid the footnotes, they don't clarify much, if anything on the first pass and are very awkward to access every time one come up.

A worthwhile story though, will make you a more understanding and compassionate person if you make it through.
