Summary
The parents of a 13 year old boy, acquire an old treasure chest from a nautical shop. While the boy (Josh) and his two closest friends (Jerry and Janet) inspect the chest and tease their imaginations with the contents that the chest once held (gold, silver and jewels), they accidentally uncover a map. It is a map of Lake Erie but, none like they have ever seen before. In fact, it is a map like no one has ever seen before. It takes them to a place long gone, if it ever existed at all.
