About this listen

Dark. Mysterious. Gorgeous.

Loved by all the girls. Respected by all the guys.

As the heir to a billion-dollar empire, Kian Maston's future was promising - until the day he saved my life. Everything changed for both of us, and there was one more word that could be used to describe him: dangerous. The nation fell in love with Kian while falling in hate with me. He was sent to prison, and as far as they were concerned, it was my fault. I was forced to go into hiding until today.

Kian's being released from prison, and he should go back to being the golden boy he always was supposed to be. I should remain in hiding, living my life as normal as could be. That's what we should do....

Loved the narrators

I really liked the male and female narrator’s. It makes such a difference to the story’s and they both told it so well. Great book again by Tijan.

Good story.

Loved the book and the storyline, the voices were a little stilted which made it a little difficult to listen to for long periods of time.

I be liked it.

I honestly liked the story.
There wasn’t a lot of descriptive s3x, which was kind of refreshing; I was more interested in the story.

I loved how the characters’ lives were woven together before the incident happened, and the outcome.
I did NOT like Kian’s sister. What a nasty piece of work!

Contact lenses can’t be worn while sleeping, so how to Jordan get new lenses for all the time she was without her belongings? There was no mention of her ever changing them, and Kian hadn’t seen her without them. However, he would’ve after staying overnight.
I’m a lens wearer, so I’m speaking from experience.

Still Enjoyable!

I love to read Tijan's stories but this was not my favourite. It was a good story, but i felt like a little flat in some chapters.

Lacked chemistry

The main characters lacked chemistry. The best part of the book was the additional characters their dialogue and how realistic their friendships relationships were. But the issue with this book was that the main story felt rushed very little interaction with the main characters and then a rushed ending. I am confused it feels like a couple of chapters were missing the main characters getting to know each other. Concept great but this definitely needs to be re-written.

I found this good news

I really found it an intriguing story. I was surprised how engaged I was with the characters and the sympathy I developed for the lead characters

A winner!

I was hooked from the beginning. Got to say I'm an avid Tijan fan, and this book did not disappoint. The story follows Jo who was viciously attacked by her foster father, and Kian who saved her, by killing him, and the fallout caused by the press and public. I fell in love with Jo from the get go, it did however, take me a while to figure out the relationship between Jo and Kian. I had so many different scenarios in my head at one point. Is Jo scared of Kian? Is Kian a danger to Jo? What is Kian's MO? Dual POV is my favourite, so I was happy to see Kian's POV in there from time to time. I found the additional characters and side stories only served to enhance the intrigue, lies, and deceit in this fantastic read. Highly recommend.

Brilliant story.

Actual very surprised how good it was. story line is definitely a new one for me, but all the same. I wanted there to be some kind of twist like the cop was her actual Dad and was keeping an eye on her because of his past. But still a good listen.

wow! I couldn’t put it down. Brilliant.

This story enthralls you with all the emotions and makes you want to read it all in one go! I recommend this book if you like angst and a character with a little darkness and a whole lot of goodness. You will not want to put it down. This is my first book from this author and I will be checking out more of her work.
I love the narration too.
