Nel primo caso, la danza della pioggia si rivolge a una qualche divinità e il dispositivo che ne attiva l'intervento è il nostro corpo. Nel secondo caso il dispositivo è un prolungamento del corpo. Norbert Wiener, matematico, sottolineava, già negli anni Cinquanta del Novecento, la pericolosa e facile identità tra religione e tecnologia.

È dunque ragionevole domandarsi oggi quanto politiche culturali prive di immaginazione abbiano allontanato la tecnologia dalla scienza, trasformandola in una fede che ha i propri sacerdoti, i black fridays di festa, gli eretici, gli atei e i martiri da social network.
