About this listen

Can evil truly be vanquished? Is there such a thing as a happy ending, or are we merely blinded by a temporary feeling of peace?

Six months of peace have befallen Omeria, since Max Starheart and his companions came back from their last adventure. However now a darker presence begins to stir once again over the lands, after several Kavlosian soldiers are sent to investigate local disturbances, only to mysteriously vanish.

Return once more, to a world where magic meets incredible technological feats. Ancient mages, bounty hunters and military soldiers must all find a way to work together and combat a growing threat from below. And an increasingly powerful lieutenant mage, must travel to depths and realms he never thought imaginable, to find the answers he seeks. Only one question remains……will truth be found in the darkness?

Lair of Darkness by the talented Lee M Cooper is a worthy follow up to his great debut Might and Magic. It is no easy feet to create a follow up to a saga whilst keeping the continuity and the magic (no pun intended) of what makes the first one so engaging, whilst also keeping the tale fresh and surprising.
Chase Johnson is a talented narrator who adds to the story, and the with Cooper and he combining the production was very reminiscent to me of the old school matinee radio serial adventures.
Cooper is quickly becoming one of those authors whose releases are becoming must read/hear as his quality of work so far is most impressive.
