Summary
In Life After Death, Chopra draws on cutting-edge scientific discoveries and the great wisdom traditions to provide a map of the afterlife. It's a fascinating journey into many levels of consciousness. But far more important is his urgent message: Who you meet in the afterlife and what you experience there reflect your present beliefs, expectations, and level of awareness. In the here and now you can shape what happens after you die.
By bringing the afterlife into the present moment, Life After Death opens up an immense new area of creativity. Ultimately, there is no division between life and death; there is only one continuous creative project. Chopra invites us to become co-creators in this subtle realm, and as we come to understand the one reality, to shed our irrational fears and step into a numinous sense of wonder and personal power.

Chopra on his idea of Mind being an external field
Blending his metaphysics, quantum physics & unified field theories in the hope of describing how Mind is not generated by our organic brains but is a dynamic non material field we all tap into. Reminds me of Teilhard de Chardin's "Noosesphere theory. The book not what I expected re the usual ideas on an Afterlife, but intelligently delivered & inspiring. For me, as I found his theories somewhat complex I would have been better buying a printed, unabridged version.

Not really about life after death, dissapointing
Any additional comments?
If you have read any one of Deepak's book then you have read them all. They are all samey This book was no exception.
I think Deepak doesn't understand the point he is trying to make, he wonders off the topic into something abstract constantly. A good teacher keeps on topic.
There was probably only one chapter about life after death the rest was about religious stories, very boring and irrelevant. Shame.

This book is aimed at the weak minded. It is definitely NOT scientific nor relies on peer reviewed references on the topics. Chopra tells lies for money and he knows it. However as an experiment to gauge the gullibility of readers it could possibly be worth something, but the actual material presented is rubbish. If anyone believed in his 'thesis' they would be better off spending their money on a good psychiatrist or banging their head against a wall until they become rational again.
