"If I could go back ..."
You know, for the most part, I treasured my childhood, and I had so much fun during my teenage years. It's not that I would go back and change anything, because it all served to make me who I am today.
But, as I read the 8 big mistakes listed in the chapters, I can look at myself as a teenager with some fresh compassion, and a drive to give more to my children as a father. The value for time, not really understanding money, going to college without knowing what you want out of life, and not understanding I need to invest in myself ... and maybe most importantly: not understanding failure and giving up too easily! I wish I'd known some of these things going into college!
Because having basic understanding is half the battle. Having the tools to execute and make a difference is the other half. This book comes in with both sides, and offers tremendous help to young people in this critical, transitional time of life. With lots of empathy and wisdom, it offers a hand to help teenagers. I think if a teen is willing to listen to this audio, they'll be so much better off.
