Kommissarie Kjell Myrman är på semester i Danmark med sin fru. Väl där hamnar de mitt i en komplicerad intrig med flyktingsmuggling och drag av spionthriller. De hittar en död man i skogen, blir nästan innebrända och får sin lägenhet genomsökt. Någonting är väldigt galet. Boken utkom 1972 i en tid då spänningarna mellan Öst- och Västeuropa var starka.
Vic Suneson, pseudonym för Sune Viktor Lundquist, föddes den 11 november 1911 i Stockholm och dog den 5 september 1975 i Sundbyberg. Suneson var en svensk kriminalförfattare som skrev om polismännen O.P. Nilsson och Kjell Myhrman. Hans böcker var ofta pusseldeckare eller handlade om polisarbete. Han skrev även två ungdomsdeckare under sin livstid.
