Slightly avanced vocabulary for kids, I wouldn’t know what a fallacy is at first glance, but thankfully the narrator explains it right at the start!
Otherwise, the rest of the text is very kids friendly and filled with great tips.

As a high school math and computer science teacher at a continuation school, I worked with students who had already given up on learning. They came in feeling embarrassed, labeled, and misunderstood. Before I ever taught math, I focused on rebuilding their mindset first by using tools like growth mindset research and thinking maps to teach reasoning skills and self-belief.

This audiobook reminded me how important it is to teach kids how to think, not just what to think. It breaks down flawed logic and silly arguments in a way that feels fun and accessible, especially for younger learners. It’s exactly the kind of foundation I wish more students had before high school.

The narrator, Ivan Busenius, keeps the tone upbeat and easy to follow, which makes even tricky concepts stick.

If you’re a parent, teacher, or mentor who wants to raise sharp thinkers, this is a great resource to add to your toolkit.

I really think this is a great book for all kids to learn how to be able to recognize when someone is trying to outsmart them or convince them to act a certain way through guilt or shame. It really is most important in today's society where there is so much misinformation and bullying occurring all the time. This audiobook is filled with important information for kids to be able spot when this happening to them. The scare tactic fallacy is a prime example of what my kids deal with day in and day out by having fear thrown at them constantly to sway them into something. I love the lesson it teaches on how this can be dealt with and make decisions based on reasons and not just scary words.

This book explains logical fallacies in a way that’s easy for kids to understand without talking down to them. The examples are simple and relatable, and the short lessons hold attention well. I liked how it introduced terms like “Straw Man” or “Bandwagon” with everyday situations so they stick. The included games and questions are a good way to help kids think for themselves. It encourages them to pause before accepting an argument at face value, which is a useful habit to build early. A thoughtful way to introduce critical thinking to younger readers.

This audiobook totally changed how I see arguments and I don’t mean the yelling kind! As a parent, I listened with my kid, and we were both laughing and learning. The silly examples made it easy to spot fallacies in real life (my son now loves catching me in a slippery slope at dinner. It’s clever, fun, and honestly something I wish I had growing up. Perfect for curious kids and even adults who want to think sharper!
