I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about, the performance in this book is fine, not the best but most certainly not the worst and way above average. The book itself is interesting and entertaining.

As the other reviewer has noted, the voice performance is dire. I'm assuming it is an AI-generated performance modelled on a real voice?

A few examples - pronouncing Charing Cross, Chah-ring Cross, or emphasising all the vowels in 'entrepreneur'. It's just bad throughout, completely flat and soulless.

But, this is a fantastic book. Very engaging and informative. I have the print version but downloaded this to listen whilst I was out running. Will be returning. Audible should be prioritising quality for the prices they charge.

The content s great but the narration i is robotic and hard to listen to. Surely it can't be difficult to get a decent v/o artist. Why the hell is the date read as, May 30 1666? Jarring, annoying and a waste of time
