About this listen
Ethan
Hockey season is over, and that means one thing - returning home to my empty condo. With nothing to distract me from this loneliness, it’s going to be a miserable summer.
Then I hire Luca for one night.
At least, it was supposed to be one night.
Luca
Ethan isn’t like my other clients (not that I have many these days). He’s nice. He’s genuine. He doesn’t treat me like I’m here to earn my pay.
When he asks me to make this a regular thing for the summer, my wallet doesn’t leave me much choice.
But I’m pretty sure my heart isn’t supposed to get involved.
Gentlemen of the Emerald City
Luca is book one of Gentlemen of the Emerald City, a sexy series centered around the high-class, high-dollar gentlemen of Seattle’s most exclusive escort service. Each book is full of snark, sass, and sweetness, and like any Emerald City client, you’re guaranteed a happy ending.

Excellent book
Really enjoyed this book, the story, and their relationship. I’ve listened to other books by this author before, but this one seemed to be a step above the rest. Looking forward to the rest of the series being released.

Filthy Lucre
Sweet tale of poor boy driven into the sex trade to pay for his college loans, who meets lonely not so jolly hockey player. Good banter, good dialogue, well crafted, HFN ending. Whats not to like? The icing on the cake is the fine narration. Well done Audible.

Superb book and an easy story to follow.
I loved this book. It's a kinda true story which a lot of gay guys like Ethan can, I am sure, share a fair amount of empathy. It's not always easy to find the partner for you! Some guys find their partners in different ways and for some, that means dating agencies. Such organisations exist for this reason and a lot of guys have probably found the love of their lives in this way. I personally never expected to find my life partner as easily as I would, and it has now been 32 years this year 3 of those year's happily married with 400 of our family and friends in attendance at the Cathedral for a great day of fun and celebration.
My favourite part of the story was nearing the end when Ethan and Luca making the decision to move in together. One other part was Luca visiting his parent's to explain how he was keeping himself financially buoyant!
The narrator of this book is my favourite narrator. He comes across so naturally, his diction is spot on. Well done Michael for another book well narrated.
I certainly have no hesitation in recommending this book. Bear in mind that it is long! It took me 3 days to get through it, three well spent days!!
