About this listen

Alphonso Richt—expert botanist. Genius chemist. Recently unemployed.

Burning down the lab will do that. But every cloud has a silver lining, and after being let go from his most recent job for unsanctioned experiments, Alph is given the chance to blow off a little steam with a cutting edge new game that isn’t even out of beta.

It's called Nova Terra.

Logging into a fully developed fantasy world, Alph discovers a new field of study called Alchemy that instantly captivates him, allowing him to bring his unique insights and scientific knowledge to bear as he explores the wonders of magic. Plus, no one really cares if his potions explode in the game.

Mad Master Alchemist is a new LitRPG story from Seth Ring, best-selling author of Battle Mage Farmer and the Titan series. Set in the world of Nova Terra and starring the unforgettable Alph, if you like immersive storytelling, rich fantasy, and epic adventures with a slice of friendship thrown in, you’ll love this novel.

EPIC

this story is perfect, I love alph from the nova terra series, and been curious about how he was how he was, this book is perfection! alph is so unique and this book unlocks more knowledge of the world, brings the perfect amount of humour and other great characters! wish it was longer, but that's just cause I am greedy! 🤣

funny

Great character and story, well narrated as is the main series. I'm sad that I've finished these. Super enjoyable writing and voice.

Io

Seth Ring is a VERY good author, bordering on amazing. His storytelling is one of the best.

This said, Nova Terra world (worlds?) is thus far one of my favorites and having story dedicated for one of the most eccentric characters is just a pure delight.

Very Good character building. To avoid any spoilers, let's just say that Alph was unique, even before he arrived on to Angoril.

As a standalone book it can be enjoyed without need to dive in to The Titan Series, HOWEVER I encourage those that want some extra exposure to Alphs special brand of genius.

Narration = perfect.

Epic story.

And so funny. Alf is totally clueless about gaming, yet thrives after a while through trial and error, including many silly deaths. He never gives up and survives through bloody mindedness mostly.

OUTSTANDING

mad master alchemist is a wonderful character fill in story to roughly where Alph is set up to meet Thorne in the main Nova Terra story.

Seth does a brilliant job writing Alph's story and with wriggle room to revisit and expand on this down the line.

As a single book it works well. As part of the ever growing Nova Terra collection it becomes a simply must listen to for any fan of series.

The Narrator is again the same as the rest of the Nova Terra series so it feels concise and like the narrator knows the quirks of the characters.
