This isn't something I would usually go for but I actually enjoyed this massively. the main character is constantly suprising and endearing . I would highly recommend.

fantastic . beautifully written book. If you're after erotica look elsewhere as there are only a couple of sex scenes but if you're interested in beautiful writing and dark characters, this book is a must read.

I have listened to hundreds of audible books .. this one captured my imagination and the journey played out in my head like a movie. I loved it and can't wait for the next one ...hurry please have it available in audible.

What does Emilia Fox bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

She has a magical way of drawing you into the story.. I genuinely think the narrator is extremely important in making a book come to life and she certainly has done that with this story...

What an unusual book .... Or should I say books, as it seemed as if an intriguing thriller which took place against a breathtaking backdrop of the European hang outs of the rich and famous, had been liberally interspersed with great chunks of an erotic novel. This seemed to me as a rather callous and calculating marriage of convenience to capture two market audiences and sell twice as many books as the main thriller was not well served by this side serving of gratuitous kink which not only devalued the plot but the protagonist also. Both books would be fine on their own, but this fearless and unscrupulous adventuress really did not need an extra string to her bow as was intriguing enough without forcing her to to star in a sex show as well as a well written and very entertaining thriller. Only other niggle is whilst flitting all over Europe with the jet set it is a shame nobody told this sophisticate about the Schengen Agreement as so much of her time is spent worrying needlessly about passports!

Great story ... Pity about the 50 Shades Style mash up which took away from an otherwise great and unusual thriller.

I'd heard nothing about this book but saw it was highly rated. Although, im guessing it's aimed at a female readership I really enjoyed this and there was a good story line running throughout. Well worth a listen

This book is really, really rude. Basically chick porn. Having Amelia Fox, aka Nikki Alexander of Silent Witness read it into my ears was, shall we say, a little disturbing. Particularly as in Silent Witness she plays a very upright forensic scientist in whose mouth butter would not melt, let alone in anywhere else. So, if you can get over that and there is a lot of very raunchy sex, the rest of the story is actually very good fun. A good romp, if you don't fly off the back of the running machine in surprise as I did.

And the attention to detail as well from the story made you imagine you was in south of France or strolling around Italy
The story ..... mmmmm ok ish definitely not gripping ... just about held my interest

Are we supposed to like the protagonist? Are we supposed to be rooting for her even thou we know her dark secrets?
Is she supposed to be desirable to every man/women in the world? Because I can't stand her!
She's a truly horrible person & that's before she commits multiple murders! The story line held my attention & the intriguing erotic scenes where heart poundingly full-on but to finish this book with " To Be Continued" made me feel cheated.
In general the storyline was well paced with good character development & good usage of hiding & revealing key information.
Fox was a great narrator: genders & accents were believable, emotional dialog was convincing & reading pace dynamics where on point.

My dilemma now is that I'm now totally torn between getting the other two books in this series or not. I'm worried they will just be her treading on more bodies to gain more wealth & the related power/privilege. Maybe getting arrested but building herself up again - yarn!
Unfortunately the possibility of them being the build up of her getting caught out & getting her just desserts is just enough pull to keep my interest.

I feel I was mis-sold this book. I was looking forward to a thriller around the art world. What I got was a lot of porn, or erotica, and a bit of a thriller. The thriller element of the book was good, the erotica may be good if that's your kind of thing. It is so definitely not mine and I cringed every time Emilia Fox starting throwing out lewd and crude words. I sped up the narration so I could finish it quicker and it got to the stage that I didn't care who had done what to whom as I just wanted it to be over. If you don't mind erotica and lewd language then you'd probably enjoy this book. Definitely not for me!
