Summary
Getting a puppy is an exciting thing...a grinningly exciting, running around with your t-shirt over your face exciting thing...it’s also absolutely terrifying.
Bringing home a new bundle of fluff brings with it responsibility, is overwhelming and expensive.
It’s a life-changing event...but it is fabulous.
It really doesn’t matter how many puppies we’ve raised, we forget what it’s like to have a puppy in the house; we forget that we have to go back to feeding four meals a day, to get up at four am to toilet the puppy and we forget what terrible timewasters puppies are, as we simply cannot stop watching them.
In her latest book, Manners Not Mayhem, Lez Graham shares her wisdom, experience, and common-sense to help ease you into puppy ownership, sharing her secrets of how to raise, train and live with your puppy, guiding you through the minefield of toilet training, crate training, socialisation, and introducing new concepts such as The Four Pillars of Puppy Training.
Helping you create Manners in a time of potential Mayhem, this international award-winning book is one that you cannot afford to be without, as it not only guides you through puppyhood, it helps ease you into the jaw-clenching, joyous phase of adolescence.

Great listen
Very educational and with a bit of humor from the author. Really makes you understand what you should and shouldn't be doing with your or anyone else's dogs. Without hours of facts and figures, but rather well understandable examples.
Authors voice was very soothing and makes a great listen for any occasion.

Quite outdated information
The book was 50/50 some really cracking advice but some really old school outdated advice that is quite aversive to the puppy that I & a lot of fellow dog trainers would strongly advise against. I bought the audiobook as it was on a special low price, & I’m glad I didn’t pay more for it. I would not be recommending this book to new dog owners. The narration was very clear and easy to follow however.
