 "Was ich schreibe, sind Maulwürfe" - so Günter Eich (1907-1972) in seiner "Präambel" zu den Prosaskizzen dieses Namens, mit denen er die Menagerie der literarischen Gattungen bereicherte.
Doch was sind Maulwürfe? Maulwürfe graben sich ein und wühlen auf, sie unterminieren den Rasen, sind allgegenwärtig und unsichtbar. Sie bewegen sich in der Traumwelt der Phantasie oder in der Phantasiewelt des Traumes, ihr Material ist die Sprache, hier wird zitiert wie Espenlaub, die Fensterlosigkeit des Nomaden wird gegen einen Nachbarn namens Leibniz bestritten und den Schulterreiter wird man auch dann nicht los, wenn man sich mit ihm zusammen betrinkt.

Wer sich diesen Ausflug ins Anspielungsreich versagt, in dem sich bei jeder Lektüre neue Gänge auftun, ist selbst daran schuld.
