About this listen
Crazy has no memory and feels no fear. Dangerous and unpredictable, he's locked away in SafeHaven, a psychiatric hospital, where he spends the long days watching Wheel of Fortune and wondering what the outside world smells like. When a mysterious visitor arrives and offers him a way out Crazy doesn't hesitate to accept.
But outside the hospital Crazy is faced with a world on the brink of nuclear annihilation, and finds himself relocated to Neuro Inc., a secretive corporation with strange government ties. When he discovers evidence of human experimentation he escapes with a syringe, the contents of which are unknown to him but precious to Neuro. Cornered and with a complete disregard for the results, Crazy makes himself indispensable by injecting the substance into his leg.
As the substance enters his bloodstream, though, his eyes are opened to a world beyond human experience, where fear is a tool and the shadows hide the source of mankind's nightmares. Struggling to understand his new abilities, Crazy allies himself with the company he fled and begins peeling back the layers of his past, the brewing war between worlds, how he can stop it - and what he did to start it.
With Mirrorworld, Robinson, whose trademarked pacing and inventive plots have been highly praised by bestselling authors like Jonathan Maberry, Scott Sigler, and James Rollins, treats listeners to a wildly imaginative, frenetically paced thriller exploring the origins of fear.

First half was extremely enjoyable, I gave it 4 rather than 3 stars for that reason. The general idea is kind of crazy but it's fiction and that's fine, but when it descends into endless action towards the end it gets a bit dull... I listened to this about a month ago and to be honest I can hardly remember the details of the very end, I finished it because I'd started and at the very end I found it hard to pay attention.
If you like your heroes to be HEROES and like reading/listening to very very very very long fight scenes then you probably won't agree with me about the ending.
I enjoyed it enough to try another by this author 'SecondWorld' but that turned out to be even more endless, silly, cheesy action stuff, so overall I suppose his work is not to my taste.
Good, ending was slightly disappointing

The main character was a ton of fun and definitely had a few cool quirks that made him quite fascinating and memorable.
I enjoyed this but did feel like it could have been even better if a few of those mindless monster squashing scenes did not drag on quite so long! It really hurt the middle phase of the story.
I felt like R.C.Bray did a decent job with the audio.
Fun action sci-fantasy!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Of course, every book deserves your full attention, even if the experience wasn't great. What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The world that we all live, love and work in......I got on with that side of things in the story. The cataclysmic end that the world was heading towards was truly frightening, but in teh reason for it was a bit silly. What three words best describe R.C. Bray’s voice?
Powerful, believable, engagingWas Mirrorworld worth the listening time?
Yes, but only the onceAny additional comments?
Its probably my fault but I've listened to quite a few of these alternate world stories in the past year, and if I find the story implausible I lose interest. I know what your'e saying, try something else. OK I will!!!!Dimensional Worlds, I fell in between the two
