About this listen

Some truths are better left buried.

When Rudy Montgomery disappears from his foster home early one morning, his foster parents, Ray and Mary Swisher are concerned. They decide to contact one of their grown children who happens to be a detective in Seattle's Missing Person Division. But as Jim North and his partner, Detective Kerry Martin, investigate Rudy's disappearance, they discover a far more nefarious plot.

A second helping off Kerry and Jim, two troubled detectives solving missing person s cases, especially missing children. This book follows on nicely from the first on the series and the interactions between the main characters are smoother though not without friction. The case has a very personal link to Jim. Once again I'm happy that the main characters are called by their first names and not surnames as its so often the case in these kind of books, something that has always annoyed me.

Narration it's excellent and the audiobook is one I would highly recommend, after listening to Our Stolen Pieces first.
