Maggie Thomas is still stumbling her way through running her uncle’s Miami Beach P.I. agency. Quick light read based around Private investigator Maggie and her inherited work mate a mature woman named Dorothy who has become her side kick. Their relationship is a hoot. Dorothy is a real character who never goes anywhere without her knitting needles lol. When they go on a stakeout you can almost hear the clacking of her knitting needles. Something that Maggie has grown used to.

Maggie inherited the firm after her uncle had passed and is learning on the job as she goes along, she has a knack for turning up or stumbling onto crime scenes and the Local detective Jake who is easy on the eye ends up helping her out. As there are 8 books in total in the series so far I am interested to see how the characters develop.
