A gripping mystery
I loved the plot and I was captivated by the narrator from the start who cleverly steered us through the various characters- I could not put it down. Thank you.

I got bored but had to finish
I struggled through this one but there are some quirky moments that had me gasping to myself so it might be worth a try for you. I'm relatively new to listening to audiobooks, mind you.

Intriguing story
This was quite well constructed but rather drawn out with lots of red herrings but all came together to a reasonable conclusion. The artist gets involved in another murder in a Scottish castle. She is a likeable nosey character with a spicier love life than Miss Marple. This was well narrated except for the Scottish accents which were excruciating

Storyline OK accents awful
The storyline of the book is interesting enough, and I did listen all the way to the end, although I worked it out by 2/3 through....I rarely work out what's going on.
Two main quibbles: the Scottish accents were awful. If it were the odd person, then it wouldn't be so distracting, but the thing is set in Scotland.
Also, the author's research of Scottish life was woeful. It became a game of bingo for me to see how many things were wrong. If you are not Scottish, this probably won't matter to you, but I found it really off-putting.
